My goodness. I can't believe these people! There are so many Muhammads out there! And please, it is only a teddy bear! A harmless and innocent TEDDY BEAR.

Thank God its not a pig! Poor teacher ... :(

And NO ONE deserves to be killed. Espeically on such trivial matters.

I am sorry but i dont see any point of them making a big fuss over this.

THESE. PEOPLE. ARE. SO. SICK.

Updates! *finally*

Highlight of last week: Shopping trip to Swindon!

Hehehe ... was so excited to go there ever since i heard Boo talking about it! It was kind of a last minute thing cos there were so many complications i.e. we can't get rail card in time, we can't get cheaper rail tickets, Nic not being able to make it on 8 Dec etc etc.

HOWEVER, thankfully we found out about National Express and Megabus! So our tickets only cost 11.90 pounds per person :)

I booked the tickets and was quite worried because apparently the bus stop for Megabus is quite far away from the town centre and Megabus just sounds kind of phony.

Thank God we finally made it! *beams*

We nearly couldn't make it to the coach station in the morning because the public transport system in London is soo bad. We waited for Bus 9 for 10 to 15 minutes and when we hopped off the bus we had to practically run to the coach station which is like 5 minutes walking distance from the bus stop.

The story doesn't end here.

Later, when we were eventually sitting in the bus, the bus driver announced there were some techinical problems because the battery/engine/whatsoever was dead. So again, we waited for approximately 10 minutes before the bus finally left the coach station.

We only had 3 to 4 hours to shop. We were rushing from one shop to another but it was fun and in a way thrilling haha! Now i can't wait to go to Bicester Village! =D =D =D

Happy + contented shoppers!

PS: I am SO addicted to Switchfoot now! Live music is so much better than studio recorded ones, of course, provided the singers can sing live.

C M Lai's umbrella
(Sometime in Aug/Sept 2007 - 20 Nov 2007)

I lost my umbrella! ;(

Now i fully understand the saying that goes, "You never realize how important something is until you lose it".

I don't know why i'm so upset about it. Maybe its because my mum bought it for me to bring it here. Or maybe its because the weather here is so bad nowadays i really need my umbrella.

Urgh! Start growing up and learn to take care of your things !!!

I took my jab yesterday! *phew* It wasn't as scary as i thought it would be :) Okay, my heart was thumping so fast and so hard when i was witnessing the preparation of the jab! The nurse knew i was nervous so she kept telling me to relax. Haha! She was saying, "You don't like to be injected do you?" Then, without waiting for my answer, she went, "I bet you are trying to say 'Who does'!" Anyway, the whole process was faster than i expected! I was cringing and suddenly, after two secs, i heard the nurse said, "It's over!" I am soooo relieved now!

By the way, i'm having an eating disorder now! =( No no, i'm not in any way bullimic or aneroxic, i'm far worse than that. Nowadays i'm like an eating machine i can't stop eating! I bought 3 boxes of soft cakes and i finished them in one week. I bought 3 packets of jam sandwich creams and i finished them in 2 or 3 days. My food supplies are running low constantly its so frustrating! Geez. I really have to control myself and stop going to Tesco so often. And FYI, my maid in Malaysia just commented that i got fatter :(((

On a happier note ...

I GOT MY BOOTS TODAY !!!!!!!! =D =D =D

I wasn't planning to go to Covent Garden today. In fact, i wanted to go to Oxford St. with Hel and Yv. BUT, as i was walking back from school i thought, "Why not go to CG and see if there's any nice boots since i have plenty of time before i go to OS?"

Thank goodness i went to CG.

The pair of black boots i saw last week was there and THEY ARE ON SALE !!!!

Hmmm. I'm not spending anymore this week. Except for food. I can't wait to go to Swindon!

Tata!

Randomness!

My name is on Taylor's website! But they spelled it wrongly ... How sad.

LSE dropped from 17 to 59 !!! Eeeshh!

My first time getting a 100% for my weekly econs quiz! :)

That's all! Excuse me for the randomness! ;P

Okay, i did not manage to get my boots.

Last Saturday was really eventful.

I woke up at 9.30am which is considered quite early for my standard, washed up etc. and decided to do work. Then i texted YL to meet up with her. She wanted to get boots (coincidentally!) so we met up in Oxford Street along with Kim. I went into Aldo, started looking for the SALE rack - by the way, i so love sales now because i can find really cheap bargains without being squeezed like a sardine in shops! - and found one that i really like which is in brown. Its 69.98 pounds after discount so i told the sales people i'll think about it. Later when i went out of the shop i purposely texted my mum to get her permission. She said okay so everything was set. Then i went into another branch and decided that i'll take the black one instead since i already had a pair of brown boots. I proceeded to pay, took out 70 pounds and even asked the sales guy how to take care of suede boots. THEN, the lady at the counter told me its 100 pounds.

Geez. This is so absurd! Its the same design and everything except for the COLOUR. I'm not going to pay 100 pounds! But surprisingly when i told mum today she reacted by saying that "But boots aren't that cheap right?"

So i left the shop with disappointment without my boots ...

Later, after we went to M&S and Primark - i got my weighing scale (!!!) to ahem ... monitor my weight and a pair of bedroom slippers in baby blue - Kim and i decided to take a bus home. We saw Bus 23 (we vowed to never take that freakingly stupid bus again!) and hopped on without checking for which direction it was going.

HA HA.

After we realised that the bus was going in the wrong direction, we figured the most we would lose is time. We sat in the bus, watching Nottinghill Gate and other unknown areas passed by in front of our eyes and suddenly, the bus stopped and one guy came up to where we were sitting and shouted, "Girls! Last stop!"

So we ended up in Westbourne Park which is in Zone 2. Having gone through all this and wasted so much time, we wanted to take the tube home. So we took the pink line (haha! you will never find this in Zone 1!) to Edgware Road to change to the circle line. BUT, there was a delay for the circle line and we mistakenly took the tube back to the direction which we were coming from. Haha we even went one stop further than Westbourne Park!

Thankfully after this everything was okay again. We wasted almost two hours getting lost in London!

And the day got better later when we went out for Four Seasons in Bayswater. Yum yumm.

Yesterday's service was a good one it was simply amazing! Not only did they sing most of my favourite songs (Lord of Lords and Amazing Grace !!!), they invited a guest speaker Christine Caine from Sydney who was really wonderful! Don't you just love the feeling of not expecting anything initially but ending up with so much in return? Her faith and passion for Christ is really something to be marvelled at :)

That pretty much sums up my day. Ooh and i managed to finish all my work by 11.30 yesterday!

Shit. I really have to read more now. I keep getting writer's block! Damn it!

I miss home like mad!

From this ...

To this.

Hee ... this is a bit blur. Blame it on my shaky hands!

Anyway, like i said, i really miss home. Not that i feel like crying everytime i think of it. Well i used to feel like this but now its gone, thankfully :) I just feel a bit lonely and wishful when i think of home ...

I miss the lousy weather in Malaysia! The humid rain, to be exact.

I miss the fact that i only need to wear one layer of clothing - at most, two - when i go out of the house.

I miss my Kembara (haha!) despite the fact that it is so unstable when i drive it.

I miss the FOOD (!!!) like char kuay teow (oohh ~ all the si hams!), Friday's (its so expensive here!), Yuli's cooking, the cheap snacks, ju yok fun, hakka mee etc etc.

I miss the familiar faces in HLLC. Church has become such an important part of my life since young and i feel weird for not serving! =( I miss playing the keys (although sometimes i get frustrated due to the mundane playings) and teaching Sunday School - haha excluding the singing part - and going to cell.

I miss my "ailing" daughter (as quoted by sis haha!) Char Siew - my faithful companion whom i carry around in the house! I don't care if the AIDS will spread (quote sis again!) i am so going to stuff it into my luggage and bring it here with me when i come back in January :)

Don't you just want to hug her??? :D

And most importantly, i miss my family! I miss my dad's lecture (haha can't believe i'm writing this!), the bitching session with my mum and sis, the crazy and lame stuffs i usually do with my sis, the weekly outings to various restaurants etc etc.

Ahh ~ 6 more weeks! 6 more weeks and i'm flying back! Hehehe ...

Oh crap. I shall blog more cos my English is soo bad now ;(

And more workload to be finished! Sobsob ...

Currently reading: The Fatal Equilibrium (unfortunately!)
Currently listening to: The Chicago soundtrack

This is my first post ever since i came here! :)

I am so thankful that my good friends are here with me! Although they are in different parts of UK ... Talking to them always makes me feel so good! Like Boo, we talked almost every night for the first few weeks we were here and that was the only thing i looked forward to as my first week was terrible. As for Nic, yesterday i had a long chat with him cos i was worried about something and i needed his opinion badly. It was so nice talking to him! I've always liked to talk to him! And ZH, another good friend of mine whom i got closer to after i came here, is also one of the most amazing people who always make me laugh!

Thank you God for the wonderful friends i have !!! =)

Its weekend again! Time passes by so quickly and i have so much work to do, unfortunately. I was supposed to go visit YL at International Hall but i'll have to postpone it. This weekend will again be filled with work work and work! How sad. I seriously need to get rid of the crazy workload asap!

Got to go off and do work now! Ahhhh ~~

On a happier note, Hillsong church is tomorrow! Hahaha i'm so happy everytime i think about it! But i really miss playing ... =(
